New York, NY, June 23, 2011 -- African Review of Business and Technology has recently published an article featuring Edcomm Banker’s Academy’s partner GIEOM’s role in helping Mauritius Commercial Bank (MCB) employees to transition to a new core banking system. Published in the June 2011 Edition, “Innovating to Empower Customers” focuses on how employees were able to quickly and easily learn the fundamentals of the new system implemented at MCB by using GIEOM’s comprehensive platform.

According to the article, through the use of GEIOM’s graphical interface, employees were able to better understand how the new system works in relation to their unique job responsibilities, through the use of screen shots, simulated settings and detailed business paths of banking activities. A scorecard mechanism was also custom built for MCB, helping the Bank to assess employee understanding and promote bankwide adoption of the new core banking system. As a result of their involvement in the project, GEIOM’s platform enabled 1600+ MCB employees to successfully transition to the new system in record time.

African Review of Business and Technology is Africa's premier English language business magazine. Each issue's highly respected editorial content contains special sections on a wide variety of topics including information technology, oil and gas and construction and covers all aspects relevant to Africa’s key decision makers.

GIEOM offers a unique approach to increasing core banking adoption in banks by helping end users understand the manual and
automated activities that must be carried out for every business process. The system also enables business analysts to visualize requirements from core banking systems and establishes that as the base for user acceptance testing. Once this is delivered with system simulation training, the GIEOM platform becomes the single source that all employees go to in order to understand various functions at the bank, thereby increasing user adoption.
