Sections on the website include Ruby Toolbox, RailsCasts, PeepCode, RubyGems, Official Rails Guides, RailsInstaller, RVM, The Ruby Show Podcast on Railsconf edition, Rails 3.1 beta 1 and Rubygems 1.8.1, Sinatra 1.2.4, EventMachine and Passenger, RSpec 2.6,and the the Ruby non Rails screencast featuring Rails Best Practices, Code School Introduction, Rails for Zombies Wrap up, and Ruby Jobs.

Ruby is a powerful programming script developed by Yukihiro Matsumoto on February 24, 1993; it is infinitely more powerful than Perl and at the same time more object-oriented than Python. The language is a beautiful combination of function and imperative programming. Ruby on Rails was developed because of the dawning interest in programming language and is renowned for its elegant syntax, efficiency, and simplicity. Ruby combined Perl with Smalltalk-like features. More versions of Ruby were launched in 2010 such as JRuby, Rubinius, IronRuby, MacRuby, HotRuby, and YARV. The standard 1.8.7 version of Ruby is written in the single-pass interpreted language C, while the official 1.9 version uses YARV that has superseded the slower Ruby MRI.

Ruby incorporates functionality, object-orientedness, reflective of both imperative and reflective multiple programming paradigms, and a dynamic type system similar to those in CLU, Dylan, Python, Pike, Perl, and Lisp. Rubysource.com offers its customers everything including how to get started, manuals on how to switch from PHP to Ruby, tips on navigating the application, and Ruby tutorials.
